
The Namibian Police Force has taken two men, aged 48 and 55, into custody at the Ariamsvlei Border Post after they were allegedly found with suspected unpolished diamonds in their possession.
According to NamPol spokesperson Deputy Commissioner Kauna Shikwambi, the arrests were made on Saturday evening around 19:00, as the suspects were entering Namibia from South Africa.
“During a routine search, authorities uncovered 204 items believed to be unpolished diamonds,” Shikwambi said.

She further noted that the estimated value of the seized stones has not yet been determined, and investigations are ongoing.
