A 23-year-old Angolan woman was allegedly raped after being lured to a bar in the Okandjengedi area of Oshakati, the Namibian police have reported.

The incident occurred after the woman, who is reportedly married and resides in Santa Clara, Angola, was invited by two Angolan men to join them for drinks. The beverages consumed included Castle wine and Savanna cider.

Police say the woman became heavily intoxicated and was later accompanied by the two men to a nearby sleeping room. It is alleged that one of the men left the room, after which the remaining suspect raped the unconscious woman.

The victim reportedly lost consciousness during the ordeal. The suspect then contacted his friend to assist in taking her to a nearby hospital for medical attention.

According to authorities, the alleged perpetrator is an Angolan national currently residing in the Onawa location of Oshakati. The police investigation is ongoing.
