Three more suspects linked to the unfolding Namcor corruption scandal were detained today, pushing the number of arrests to eight in just two days.
The latest individuals taken into custody include Peter Elindi and Malakia Elindi, both known for their ties to Enercon, a company contracted to supply fuel to the military. Enercon allegedly owes Namcor over N$114.6 million for outstanding fuel payments. Additionally, one of Malakia Elindi’s wives has also been arrested.
These fresh arrests follow the dramatic events of yesterday, when the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) arrested several former top Namcor officials—Immanuel Mulunga, Jennifer Hamukwaya, Cedric Willemse, and Olivia Dunaiski—along with Hamukwaya’s husband, whose identity has not been publicly disclosed.
ACC officials say investigations are far from over, hinting at the possibility of more arrests as they dig deeper into the case.
