Armed Robbers Flee with Airtime Vouchers Worth Over N$25,000 in Oshakati

A daring armed robbery unfolded on Friday afternoon at Rani Mini Market in Uupindi, Oshakati, where suspects made off with prepaid recharge vouchers valued at over N$25 000.
According to a police report, the incident occurred around 15h55 when four unidentified men targeted a delivery truck that had stopped at the market. Two of the suspects were reportedly armed with pistols.
The assailants arrived in a silver Toyota Corolla and ambushed a man who was closing the loading box of a mini truck. One of the armed suspects pointed a gun at the victim, prompting him to flee in fear. In his attempt to escape, the man dropped a cooler box he had just removed from the vehicle.
The robbers allegedly seized the cooler box, which contained prepaid airtime vouchers worth N$25 254.00 and the keys to the truck, before speeding off toward Uupindi location.
No arrests have been made, and none of the stolen items have been recovered.
Police investigations into the matter are ongoing, and members of the public with any information are urged to assist law enforcement by contacting the nearest police station.
