Egypt moved to the top of Group B in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers after producing a commanding 5–0 victory over South Sudan in Juba.
Mostafa Ziko opened the scoring in the 36th minute to give Egypt a 1–0 lead at half-time.
Omar Marmoush doubled the advantage four minutes after the restart before Ibrahim Adel made it 3–0 in the 75th minute.
Marmoush then completed his brace in the 83rd minute, with substitute Hamza Abdelkarim adding Egypt’s fifth goal in the second minute of stoppage time.

The victory takes Egypt to four points from two matches after their opening 0–0 draw with Angola. They now lead Group B, which also includes Malawi, Angola and South Sudan.
South Sudan, meanwhile, remain without a point after two matches.
