A significant investment in healthcare has taken shape in Rundu with the opening of Kaisosi Medical Services, a new private facility expected to broaden access to clinical and specialist care for communities in the Kaisosi residential area.

The establishment, built through a partnership between Namibian and international investors, represents a joint effort by Pakistani brothers Imran Ali Khan and Azmat Khan, local medical practitioner Dr. Richard Dinyando, and prominent businessman J.J Doeseb. Together, the partners have injected more than N$20 million into the project.

During the official inauguration, Prime Minister Dr. Elijah Ngurare emphasized the importance of accessible healthcare, noting that “the health of a nation is the dignity of a nation.” He applauded the investors for supporting national efforts to improve medical infrastructure and service delivery.

Kaisosi Medical Services is set to provide a range of essential healthcare offerings, including daily consultations with general practitioners, weekly visits from medical specialists, and nursing and pharmaceutical services. The facility is also equipped to perform laboratory tests, sonar imaging, and x-ray diagnostics.

Looking ahead, the developers have outlined an ambitious second phase. Planned expansions include the addition of MRI scanning capabilities, a dialysis centre, optometry and dental units, and other advanced medical services as community needs evolve.

The opening of Kaisosi Medical Services marks a new chapter for healthcare delivery in Rundu, offering residents improved options and reducing the need to travel long distances for specialized medical attention.
