African Stars Face Gabon’s AS Mangasport, UNAM Meet Angola’s Kabuscorp
Namibia’s representatives have discovered their opponents for the opening rounds of the 2026/27 CAF Interclub Competitions, with African Stars FC and UNAM FC both facing challenging fixtures as they begin their continental campaigns.
African Stars FC will represent Namibia in the CAF Champions League and have been drawn against AS Mangasport of Gabon in the first preliminary round. The two-legged tie is scheduled to take place between 4 and 6 September 2026, with the winner advancing to the next stage of the competition.
In the CAF Confederation Cup, UNAM FC will take on Kabuscorp de P. of Angola in Match 33 and 34 of the first preliminary round. The first leg will be played between 11 and 13 September 2026, while the second leg is scheduled for 18 to 20 September 2026.
The draw marks the beginning of another continental journey for Namibia’s clubs, who will be aiming to progress through the preliminary rounds and secure a place in the group stages of Africa’s premier club competitions.
