British-Nigerian influencer dies after penis enlargement procedure in Thailand
A British-Nigerian businessman and social media influencer has died after undergoing a penis enlargement procedure in Thailand, with an inquest in London reportedly linking his death to complications from the cosmetic treatment.
Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo, 43, also known as Denisi or Ego, underwent the procedure at a clinic in Bangkok during a luxury trip to Thailand with his wife, Danielle Simba Allen.
According to evidence presented at Inner West London Coroners’ Court, around 40 millilitres of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine were injected into Ubiribo’s penis during the procedure in March.
Following the treatment, Ubiribo and his wife reportedly went for a massage. He later complained of chest pain and collapsed twice before being taken to Sukhumvit Hospital in Bangkok.
Doctors diagnosed him with a pulmonary embolism, a serious condition in which a blood clot blocks an artery in the lungs. Medical staff reportedly performed CPR for more than 100 minutes in an attempt to save his life.
Ubiribo died in the early hours of March 6.
A postmortem examination conducted after his body was returned to the United Kingdom reportedly found cellular material in his lungs consistent with the hyaluronic acid used during the penis enlargement procedure.
Following the inquest, Coroner Jean Harkin concluded that Ubiribo died from a pulmonary embolism caused by complications arising from the cosmetic procedure.
Ubiribo had built a significant following on social media, with around 185,000 followers on Instagram, where he was known for showcasing his lavish lifestyle.
His death also attracted attention in Nigeria because of his connections to prominent figures in the country’s entertainment industry. His funeral was held in London, with Nigerian celebrities including music star Davido and businessman Cubana Chief Priest reportedly among those in attendance.
