CENORED Worker Accused of Rape Released on Bail After Victim and Mother Raise No Objection
A 43-year-old man accused of raping a Grade 8 learner in Otjiwarongo has been released on bail after the alleged victim and her mother indicated that they had no objection to his release.
Vehonga Ndura was granted bail of N$10,000 on 25 August 2026 and is expected to return to court on 7 September 2026.
The bail agreement followed written statements submitted by both the learner and her mother, in which they stated that they did not oppose the accused being released on bail.
State prosecutor Wendy Nkando and defence attorney Zamuee Vezemboua subsequently agreed to Ndura’s release on the stated bail conditions.

The matter remains before the court, with Ndura due to appear again on 7 September.
