35-Year-Old Man Found Hanging After Allegedly Hearing Voices Telling Him to Do So

A 35-year-old man was found hanging from a tree at Eemwandi village in the Tsandi Constituency of the Omusati Region on Friday afternoon.
The deceased has been identified by the police as Jackson Amadhila Johannes, a resident of Eemwandi village.
According to the police report, the incident was reported at approximately 13:00 on 7 August 2026. Johannes was reportedly last seen alive around midnight while he was inside the house.

Police said his body was later discovered hanging from a tree, with a rope around his neck.
Before his death, Johannes allegedly told his housemate that he had been hearing voices instructing him to take a rope and hang himself.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are being recorded by the police, while Johannes’ next of kin have been informed of his death.
