Lawyer Kadhila Amoomo has announced the release of activist Michael Amushelelo from police custody.

Amushelelo surrendered himself to the police and was arrested on Tuesday morning.

Kadhila Amoomo, on his social media, said that Amushelelo’s legal team will be closely examining and compiling the political cases filed against their client, questioning the pattern of arrests following each of Amushelelo’s political actions.

“It cannot be that every political move he makes results in an arrest,” said Amoomo.

Amushelelo has been charged with obstruction of traffic, but according to Amoomo, the prosecutor must still look at the docket.
