O&L Group Secures ‘Great Place To Work’ Certification for 2026/27
WINDHOEK – The Ohlthaver & List (O&L) Group has once again proven its standing as a top-tier employer, officially retaining its Great Place To Work® certification for the 2026/27 cycle. The announcement comes following a comprehensive assessment by the Great Place To Work Institute, an international authority on workplace culture.
The group achieved a Trust Index score of 69%, a result that underscores a consistent upward trend in employee satisfaction. Notably, this cycle saw an expansion in excellence across the group’s portfolio, with eleven operating companies earning individual certifications—a significant increase from previous years.
Executive Chairman Sven Thieme highlighted that these results are not just a point of pride but a foundational element of the group’s “Vision 2029” strategy. According to Thieme, the annual survey provides the raw data necessary to drive meaningful internal change and improve the overall employee experience.
The certification serves as a verified benchmark, signaling to both local and international stakeholders that O&L’s workplace practices are measured against global standards of trust and transparency.
O&L’s track record remains strong; the group has now met or exceeded the 65% certification threshold in six of its last eight survey cycles. The 2025 and 2026 periods have emerged as particularly historic for the company, yielding the highest scores since they began the assessment process in 2017.
As the group moves forward, leadership has reaffirmed its commitment to linking these internal workplace successes to high-quality service delivery and continued investment in the Namibian economy.
