A 24-year-old man from Uupindi Location has been arrested after allegedly attempting to sneak prohibited items into police holding cells in the Oshana Region.

According to the police, the suspect was caught during a routine search while trying to deliver a container filled with meat pieces. Upon inspection, officers discovered 35 grams of cannabis hidden among the food, along with 11 cigarettes.

Oshana Regional Police Commander, Commissioner Naftal Sakaria, confirmed the incident and warned the public against attempting to smuggle contraband to detainees.
