City of Windhoek Cuts Power to 69-Year-Old Man on Oxygen Support

A 69-year-old Windhoek resident, Petrus Eiseb, who depends on oxygen support, is in danger after the City of Windhoek repeatedly cut off his electricity.

His wife, Josephine Eiseb (72), says this keeps happening even though they try to pay their bills on time.

Frustrated by the situation, the couple, along with Katutura-based social activist Shaun Gariseb, plans to protest today at 15:00 at the municipality’s Debt Management office. They are demanding that the electricity be restored.

The City of Windhoek’s communications department has not yet responded
