NAMPOL Arrests 165 Suspects in Nationwide Anti-Drug Operations During June

The Namibian Police Force (NAMPOL) has arrested 165 people and seized large quantities of illegal drugs during anti-narcotics operations conducted across the country throughout June 2026.

Police said the confiscated drugs included cannabis, mandrax tablets, crack cocaine, 153 methcathinone (khat) tablets, as well as an unspecified quantity of sildenafil tablets.

According to the latest police statistics released on Monday, 162 of those arrested are Namibian citizens. The remaining suspects include one Chinese national and two Congolese nationals.

NAMPOL said the arrests and drug seizures form part of its continued efforts to combat drug trafficking and the distribution of illegal substances across Namibia.
