Police hunt three suspects in alleged rape of Angolan woman in Omusati
Police in the Omusati Region have launched an investigation after a 32-year-old Angolan woman was allegedly raped by three men near a cuca shop in Oshitukafitu Village, Outapi Constituency.
The alleged incident occurred at around 21:00 on Friday, 17 July, according to the Namibian Police.
Police said the three suspects have not yet been arrested. However, the victim is reportedly able to physically identify two of the alleged attackers, a development that could assist investigators.
The Namibian Police are appealing to members of the public who may have witnessed the incident or have information that could help identify or trace the suspects to come forward.
Police said even the smallest piece of information could prove crucial in advancing the investigation.
They also urged the public to refrain from spreading unverified information or speculating about the identities of those involved, warning that such actions could hamper the investigation.
