Monique Araes makes history as Namibia secures second Commonwealth Games medal
Namibian boxer Monique Araes has etched her name into the country’s sporting history after becoming the first woman to represent Namibia in boxing at the Commonwealth Games and going on to claim a bronze medal at Glasgow 2026.
