Man Loses N$140,000 After Receiving Fake Bank Notification
A 37-year-old man lost N$140,000 after falling victim to a suspected fraud incident in Ombili location on Friday.
According to the police, the suspect allegedly sent a fraudulent bank notification to the complainant’s mobile phone, creating the impression that a legitimate banking transaction had taken place.

The suspect then reportedly used an unknown method to access and withdraw N$140,000 from the victim’s bank account.
Police confirmed that none of the stolen money has been recovered so far, while investigations are continuing to establish how the suspect gained access to the account and to identify those responsible.
