Namibia Premier Football League Kick-off Delayed

The start of the 2026 Namibia Premier Football League (NPFL) season has been postponed from September 19 to October 10, 2026.
According to a report by Phantom Connexion Media, the Namibia Football Association (NFA) Acting General Secretary, Mabos Vries, confirmed that the delay follows a request from NPFL clubs, mainly due to outstanding player registration matters.
Vries said the additional time would allow clubs to complete their squad registrations and ensure better preparations ahead of the new season.
The league is still expected to operate under an association-module format, while the NFA continues efforts to secure a sponsor for the competition.
The association is reportedly in talks with potential sponsors and hopes to conclude the discussions before making an official announcement.
