Fashion Entrepreneur Fatally Shot in Armed Robbery in Windhoek

Fashion Entrepreneur Fatally Shot in Armed Robbery in Windhoek – The Updated World

A 39-year-old businesswoman, Finna Natangwe Nghifikwa, was tragically shot and killed during an armed robbery in Windhoek’s Wanaheda residential area on Tuesday evening.

Nghifikwa, the founder of the local fashion brand September Creations, was attacked around 19:00 on Kigali Street, under circumstances police are describing as a setup. According to preliminary reports, Nghifikwa and a friend had been lured to the location under the false pretense of viewing a room for rent.

The two women were picked up by an unidentified individual who offered to take them to see the property. Once inside the vehicle, however, the situation turned violent. The suspects reportedly pulled out a firearm, held the women at gunpoint, and robbed them of their mobile phones. During the robbery, Nghifikwa was shot.

She was rushed to the Katutura Health Centre, formerly known as the Black Chain Clinic, but was declared dead upon arrival.

Unconfirmed reports suggest that Nghifikwa’s five-year-old child may have witnessed the incident, but the Namibian Police have yet to verify this detail.

As of this report, no arrests have been made. Police investigations are ongoing.

Nghifikwa’s sudden death has sent shockwaves through the fashion and small business community, with tributes already pouring in on social media. She was widely known for her creativity, ambition, and the inspiration she provided to many young entrepreneurs.

Authorities are urging anyone with information related to the incident to come forward.
