Chairperson of the Brave Warriors 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifying Committee, Tim Ekandjo, has confirmed that African Stars will take on Eeshoke Chula Chula on 31 August 2025 at the Independence Stadium in Windhoek. The match will serve as the final fundraising event before the national team departs for Botswana in September to compete in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
General tickets for the fixture will be sold at N$50, while VIP tickets will cost N$500.
The City of Windhoek will organize pick ups point around Windhoek to provide free transport to all those going to the stadium and coming back.
The announcement follows a successful fundraising gala held at the Mövenpick Hotel in Windhoek, where the Brave Warriors 2026 World Cup Campaign Committee raised N$2,473,001.05. Despite this achievement, the committee remains N$7,326,998.85 short of its target and is appealing to individuals and corporate entities to contribute towards the national team’s campaign.
Meanwhile, the Namibia Football Association (NFA) has confirmed that entry will be free for fans attending the Brave Warriors’ upcoming qualifiers at the Obed Itani Chilume Stadium in Francistown, Botswana. The matches will see Namibia face Malawi and São Tomé and Príncipe in September, as the team aims to secure crucial points on the road to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
