Spain End France’s World Cup Dream as Oyarzabal and Porro Seal Semi-Final Victory

Spain have booked their place in the World Cup final after defeating France 2-0 in a tightly contested semi-final, ending Les Bleus’ hopes of lifting the trophy.
The Spanish side made the breakthrough in the 22nd minute when Mikel Oyarzabal calmly converted from the penalty spot to give Spain an early advantage.
France pushed forward in search of an equaliser but struggled to break down a disciplined Spanish defence, with Spain controlling key moments of the match through their possession and attacking movement.
Spain doubled their lead in the 58th minute through Pedro Porro, whose goal gave Luis de la Fuente’s team a comfortable cushion and put France under further pressure.
Spain will now turn their attention to the other semi-final between Argentina and England, with the winner set to face La Roja in the World Cup final.
