The Namibian Police in the Erongo Region are investigating a case of theft and malicious damage to State property after copper worth more than N$600 000 was stolen from NamWater boreholes near Kuisebmond River.

According to Nampol’s weekend crime report, the incident occurred on Friday, 15 August, at an unknown time. It is alleged that unknown suspects targeted ten transformers connected to the boreholes, cut them open, and removed copper wires and metals valued at approximately N$664 440.
