Three individuals arrested by the Anti-Corruption Commission of Namibia (ACC) on Thursday appeared in the Katima Mulilo Magistrate’s Court this morning on multiple corruption charges.
The accused include Regina Ndopu-Lubinda, Chief Regional Officer at the Zambezi Regional Council, who faces 59 counts of corruption. The second accused, Linyanti Constituency councillor Iven Kabunga, is charged with 11 counts, while Solo Mutelo faces 10 counts.
During the court proceedings, the State initially proposed bail of N$100,000 for each accused. However, following a plea from the defense for a reduction, bail was set at N$50,000 each.
The matter has been transferred to the Oshakati High Court for plea and trial, with the next court appearance scheduled for 15 October 2025
