
A student from the International University of Management (IUM) was attacked and robbed by a gang of six unknown suspects while walking home on Friday evening.
According to the Namibian Police, the incident occurred when the assailants struck the victim from behind with a brick, knocking him to the ground. The suspects then threatened him with knives before taking his belongings.
Items stolen during the robbery include a pistol and its licence, a cellphone, a wallet containing the victim’s identification and bank cards, as well as N$1,500 in cash.
Police have confirmed that investigations are ongoing and no arrests have been made at this stage. They have appealed to the public for any information that could assist in tracing the suspects and recovering the stolen items.
