A 17-year-old boy was fatally stabbed at Volstruisvlakte, Block G in Rehoboth on Saturday evening, in what police have described as a brutal attack carried out by two known suspects.

According to the Namibian Police’s weekend crime report, the victim, identified as Christiano Henrico De Koker, was stabbed once on the left side of his neck with an unknown object. He was rushed to St. Mary’s Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Police spokesperson Deputy Commissioner Kauna Shikwambi said the incident occurred between 18:00 and 19:00 on Saturday, 4 October 2025. “The two suspects fled the scene immediately after the stabbing,” she said, adding that both suspects are known to witnesses.

Officers later searched the suspects’ residence but were unable to locate them. “The suspects have not yet been arrested, and police are continuing with efforts to trace their whereabouts,” Shikwambi confirmed.

The deceased’s next of kin have been notified, and investigations into the incident are ongoing.

Anyone with information that could assist the police in locating the suspects is urged to contact the nearest police station.
