Igho Ubiribo Had Five Penile Enlargement Procedures Before Death, Thai Authorities Say
New details have emerged surrounding the death of Nigerian-British businessman and social media influencer Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo, with a Bangkok clinic telling Thai health authorities that he had undergone five penile enlargement procedures at the facility since 2024.
The 43-year-old died on March 6, 2026, after becoming critically ill following a filler injection performed at the Bangkok clinic a day earlier while he was on holiday in Thailand with his wife.
Thailand’s Department of Health Service Support (DHSS), operating under the Ministry of Public Health, disclosed the information after inspecting the clinic in Bangkok’s Pathum Wan district on September 7.
According to information provided by the clinic, Ubiribo underwent his first four procedures between 2024 and 2025. His fifth treatment was carried out on March 5, 2026, the day before his death.
The final procedure involved approximately 40cc of filler being injected into his penis. Thai authorities said the doctor had recommended that the treatment be divided into two sessions, but Ubiribo reportedly chose to have the entire procedure during one appointment.
The clinic said Ubiribo received post-treatment instructions and that staff followed up with him after the procedures. It also told investigators that he signed consent forms before each treatment.
On the day of his final procedure, Ubiribo later went for a massage with his wife. His wife subsequently informed medical personnel that he had received a filler injection earlier that day.
He later lost consciousness and was taken to a hospital in Bangkok, where medical staff attempted to resuscitate him. A later UK coroner’s investigation concluded that a pulmonary embolism linked to the filler procedure caused his death.
Thai authorities have not concluded that the clinic committed malpractice. The inspection is part of an ongoing investigation aimed at determining whether the clinic and medical professionals complied with required standards.
The case has drawn renewed attention to the potential risks associated with cosmetic filler procedures, particularly those involving sensitive areas of the body.
