Chelsea have secured the long-term future of England international Cole Palmer after the attacking midfielder signed a new contract running until June 2034.

The 24-year-old has agreed to a one-year extension on improved financial terms, rewarding his growing influence since joining the London club from Manchester City in August 2023.

Palmer has recorded 91 goal contributions in 138 appearances for Chelsea, helping the club win the UEFA Conference League and FIFA Club World Cup.

Speaking after signing the deal, Palmer said he was pleased with the club’s direction and the ambition shared by the players and management.

“Chelsea means a lot to me and I think the club is going in the right direction, so I’m delighted to sign and I’m obviously very happy,” he said.

He added that discussions with the club’s owners, sporting directors, manager Xabi Alonso and fellow players gave him confidence to commit his future to Chelsea.

Palmer has started the 2026/27 campaign strongly, registering four goals and two assists in his first seven matches. The new agreement further strengthens Chelsea’s efforts to retain their key players for the coming years.
