“I Finally Became a Dad After Losing Six Babies” – Wodemaya

Ghanaian YouTuber and travel content creator Berthold Kobby Winkler Ackon, widely known as Wodemaya, has shared the emotional journey that led to him becoming a father for the first time.
The 32-year-old content creator revealed in a recent interview that 2025 has become one of the happiest years of his life after he and his wife finally welcomed their first child following several painful pregnancy losses.
Wodemaya explained that the journey to parenthood was not easy. According to him, his wife suffered multiple miscarriages over the years, and the couple lost a total of six pregnancies before finally welcoming their baby.
He described the experience as extremely difficult, saying each loss was heartbreaking for both of them, but they remained hopeful and continued supporting each other throughout the process.
Wodemaya is married to Trudy Kitui, popularly known as Miss Trudy, a Kenyan YouTuber and travel vlogger who is well known for promoting African culture, tourism, and positive stories about the continent. The couple, who often create travel and lifestyle content together, have built a strong following across Africa and internationally.
Speaking about the birth of their child, Wodemaya said the moment meant everything to him and his family after the challenges they faced in trying to start a family.

He said finally becoming a father has made 2025 a special year in his life, adding that the experience has strengthened his appreciation for family and perseverance through difficult times.
The YouTuber, who has gained global recognition for promoting Africa through his travel videos and interviews with entrepreneurs and innovators across the continent, said he hopes their story will inspire other couples who may be facing similar struggles.
