Chula Chula FC Reclaim the Throne as African Stars Slip

The round of 17 and 18 fixtures in the Namibia Premier Football League produced important changes at both ends of the table, with African Stars FC losing their top position after a narrow 1–0 defeat to Rundu Chiefs FC.
African Stars, who had recently moved to the summit after Eeshoke Chula Chula FC were held to a draw by KK Palace FC, failed to maintain their momentum as Rundu Chiefs secured a vital victory today. The defeat opened the door for Eeshoke Chula Chula FC to return to the top of the standings.
Chula Chula’s rise comes after collecting six valuable points from their last two matches. The northern side recorded an impressive 4–2 win over Tiger FC, followed by a disciplined 1–0 victory against Young African FC.
Notably, Chula Chula managed these results without their skipper, Michael Jonas, who was unavailable after receiving a red card during the earlier draw against KK Palace FC.
At the bottom of the table, Rundu Chiefs FC’s victory proved crucial. After enduring three consecutive defeats, the win earned them three much-needed points and helped them climb out of the relegation zone.
