Horaseb Brace Sends Mighty Gunners to League Summit as UNAM FC Suffer First Defeat of the Season

Mighty Gunners FC came from behind to defeat UNAM FC 2–1, claiming all three points and moving to the top of the league table, displacing Chula Chula FC who had briefly held the lead.
Both UNAM and Mighty Gunners are now level on 27 points, but the Gunners lead on goal difference.
UNAM FC initially took the lead through a stunning free kick by Ronaldo Kauvi, sending the students’ fans into celebration. However, Bernard Horaseb restored parity just before halftime, ensuring the game remained tightly contested.
In the second half, Horaseb completed his brace to hand Mighty Gunners the full three points and cement his position as the league’s top scorer with seven goals. He now leads ahead of Michael Jonas and Derl Goagoseb, who have six goals each.
The result marks UNAM’s first defeat at the hands of the league leaders, highlighting Mighty Gunners’ determination and clinical finishing.
