Kunene Second Division matches postponed until further notice

The start of the Kunene Second Division has been put on hold after the Kunene Regional Football Association (KUNRFA) announced the immediate postponement of the league’s opening weekend matches.
In a letter dated 5 November 2026 and addressed to club chairpersons, the association confirmed that Round 1 and Round 2 fixtures will no longer take place as scheduled. The postponement will remain in place until further notice.
KUNRFA chairman Marshall Gomeb said the decision was prompted by unforeseen circumstances and administrative challenges beyond the association’s control. He apologised to clubs, players, technical teams and supporters for the disruption, acknowledging the preparations already made ahead of the opening matches.
The association said it is working to resolve the outstanding administrative matters. New dates and updated arrangements will be communicated to participating clubs once it is ready to proceed with the competition.
