Namibia’s U23 national team provisional squad has been instructed to report for camp with some of their own basic items, including playing socks and bedding, raising questions about the level of preparation and support available to the national team setup.

In a public notice issued by the Namibia Football Association (NFA), players selected for the provisional squad were told to report to camp on 13 September 2026 by 17:00.

The notice instructed each player to bring an original passport, two pairs of 3/4 grip socks, one black and one white, as well as bedding.

The notice has also raised concerns among football followers, particularly over why national-team players are being asked to provide basic camp and training necessities themselves.

The request for players to bring their own bedding has also raised questions about the accommodation arrangements for the team.

The Updated World understands that this is the public notice issued for the U23 provisional squad. No similar public notice concerning the U20 national team or Senior team has been identified in relation to the same camp requirements.
