Mpungu FC Crowned Kavango West River Stream NFA Cup Champions

Mpungu FC were officially crowned champions of the Kavango West River Stream Third Division NFA Cup for the 2025/2026 season after securing a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Siranda United FC in the final played at Sitopogo Sport Field on Sunday, 10 May 2026.
The tournament brought together several affiliated teams from the River Stream region, delivering exciting football action from the opening round to the final showdown.
Opening Round Results
Panado Eleven FC advanced to the next stage after defeating Kulisuka FC 3-1.
Siranda United FC and Makuzu Masters FC played to a 1-1 draw in regulation time, before Siranda United FC emerged victorious 4-2 on penalties.
J&B FC secured a 2-1 win over Kakoro United FC, while Nciye United FC defeated Young Polo FC 3-1.
Mpungu FC also booked their place in the next round with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Rupara City FC.
Quarter-Finals
Kambu United FC was eliminated after suffering a 2-0 defeat against Kakuro FC.
In another quarter-final clash, Siranda United FC edged Panado Eleven FC 1-0, while Nciye United FC defeated J&B FC 3-1 to progress to the semi-finals.
Semi-Finals
Mpungu FC continued their impressive run by overcoming Kakuro FC 2-1 in the semi-finals.
Siranda United FC also secured their place in the final after narrowly defeating Nciye United FC 1-0.
Final
The highly anticipated final saw two teams from the same constituency battle for the championship title. Mpungu FC eventually emerged victorious with a 1-0 win over Siranda United FC to lift the Kavango West River Stream Third Division NFA Cup trophy.
