Rundu Unam Campus FC endured a difficult introduction to the North East Stream First Division after suffering back-to-back defeats in their opening weekend fixtures. The university-based team, competing in the division for the first time, failed to collect any points from their two outings.

On Saturday, the students narrowly lost 2–1 to Kangweru Black Tops FC, despite showing promising moments in attack. Their challenges continued on Sunday when they again fell 2–1, this time to a determined Ntunguru FC side.

The two losses leave Rundu Unam Campus FC anchored at the bottom of the log with zero points after the opening round of matches. While the results may be disappointing for supporters, head coach Khulman Haiyambo remains optimistic about the team’s progress.

“They are still adapting to the level of football in the First Division, and I believe they will settle in soon,” he said. “We created chances in both games; we just failed to convert them. With more experience and consistency, the goals will come.”

Despite the challenging start, the team hopes to regroup ahead of their upcoming fixtures as they continue their journey in Namibia’s competitive First Division football structure.
