NFA Unveils Historic CAF B Coaching Course

The Namibia Football Association (NFA) has taken a major step in strengthening football development by launching its inaugural CAF B Diploma Coaching Course, bringing together 30 coaches from Namibia and neighbouring countries for advanced coaching education.
The programme was officially opened on Monday at Football House in Katutura and will be conducted in block sessions until October. Of the 30 participants, 23 are from Namibia, while the remaining coaches represent Botswana, Zimbabwe, Eswatini and the Zambezi region.
The CAF B Diploma course is designed to enhance the technical and tactical knowledge of coaches, helping them improve player development and raise coaching standards across the region.

Addressing participants during the opening ceremony, NFA Vice President Murs Markus said investing in coach education remains essential to the long-term growth of football in Namibia. He encouraged the coaches to make full use of the opportunity to strengthen their expertise and contribute to the development of the sport.
The launch ceremony also recognised one of Namibia’s football greats, Oscar Mengo, who received the Legends Award for his significant contribution to the growth and advancement of football in the country.
