Namibian midfielder Petrus Shitembi has officially parted ways with Malaysian Super League side Kuching City FC following a breakdown in contract negotiations, bringing an end to a successful three-year spell with the club.

Shitembi established himself as one of Kuching City’s most influential players, becoming a regular starter and playing more minutes than any other player in the squad during the 2025/26 Malaysia Super League season. He featured in 24 league matches, scored 3 goals, provided 1 assist, and accumulated 2,134 minutes of action, helping the club secure a second-place finish in the league.

Across his time with Kuching City since joining in 2023, the 34-year-old made 45 league appearances, scored 7 goals, and became a fan favourite with his leadership, creativity, and consistency in midfield.
