African Stars Sign Namibia U20 Striker Michael Kandume From Mondesa FC
African Stars FC have completed the signing of 19-year-old striker Michael Kandume from Mondesa FC, adding one of the Erongo region’s standout young goalscorers to their squad.
Kandume arrives at African Stars after two strong seasons in the Erongo Third Division. He recently finished the campaign as the league’s top scorer with 15 goals in 14 matches, earning the Golden Boot for the second consecutive season.
His goalscoring record over the past two seasons has been particularly impressive. Kandume has scored 37 league goals in 33 appearances, while his overall tally stands at 42 goals in 37 matches across all competitions.
His total includes 37 league goals, two in the NFA Cup and three in the Newspaper Cup.
The move comes at an important stage in Kandume’s development, as he is currently representing Namibia at the COSAFA U20 Qualifiers in Mozambique.
The striker has made one appearance in the tournament so far, featuring in Namibia’s 1-0 victory over hosts Mozambique.
African Stars confirmed the signing on Monday, welcoming Kandume to the club as he begins the next stage of his career.
The young forward will now look to build on his impressive scoring record as he makes the step up to the Namibian champions.
