Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi Begs Trump to Stop Escalating Middle East War

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has issued a strong and emotional appeal to United States president Donald Trump, urging him to step in and help bring an end to the ongoing war in the Middle East, which has now entered its second month.
Speaking in Cairo on Monday, Sisi warned that the situation is rapidly worsening, with continued fighting causing loss of life and threatening to destabilize the broader region. In a direct message, he said Trump holds unique influence and could play a decisive role in stopping the conflict.
“President Donald Trump is the only one who can stop this war. We urge him to act now, for the sake of peace and to save innocent lives,” Sisi said.
The conflict has grown into a wider confrontation involving the United States, Israel, and Iran. The fighting has included airstrikes, missile attacks, and retaliatory operations across different parts of the region, raising fears of a prolonged and more destructive war.
In recent weeks, both sides have intensified their military actions. Reports indicate that Iranian forces have launched waves of missile strikes, while U.S. and allied forces have carried out coordinated air operations targeting strategic positions. The situation has drawn in various armed groups aligned with each side, further complicating efforts to contain the conflict.
The war has already claimed the lives of both civilians and military personnel, although exact figures remain unclear due to the scale and spread of the violence. Critical infrastructure has also been damaged, including energy facilities and transport routes, adding to the humanitarian and economic strain.
Of particular concern is the impact on global energy supplies. Tensions around key shipping routes such as the Strait of Hormuz have raised fears of disruptions to oil transport, which could have serious consequences for the global economy. Sisi cautioned that continued escalation could push oil prices to extreme levels and trigger wider economic instability.
International reaction to the war has been growing, with calls for an immediate ceasefire and a return to diplomatic negotiations. However, despite these appeals, neither side has shown clear signs of backing down.
Sisi reaffirmed Egypt’s position in support of dialogue and peaceful resolution, stressing that urgent action is needed to prevent further loss of life. His appeal to Trump reflects increasing frustration among regional leaders who fear that without strong intervention, the conflict could spiral beyond control.
As the war continues, the humanitarian toll is expected to rise, with millions of civilians caught in the middle of a conflict that shows no immediate sign of ending.
