33-Year-Old Man Dies in Fatal B1 Road Accident Near Otjiwarongo

Police have launched an inquest following a fatal road crash that claimed the life of a 33-year-old man along the B1 national road near Otjiwarongo on Monday.
The accident happened late Monday morning, around 11:50, approximately four kilometres outside Otjiwarongo on the Okahandja route. Initial investigations indicate that the driver of a white Nissan sedan, who was the only occupant, lost control of the vehicle while travelling toward Otjiwarongo.
The vehicle reportedly overturned multiple times, ejecting the driver from the car. Emergency services later found him trapped beneath the wreckage and he was declared dead at the scene.
The deceased has been identified as Esmond “Berrys” Soroseb. His body was taken to the Otjiwarongo police mortuary, and his family has been informed.
Police in Otjiwarongo are continuing investigations to establish the exact circumstances that led to the crash.
