Fatal Collision Claimed Three Lives in Windhoek

A tragic road accident in Windhoek has left three family members dead after a sedan was crushed under an overturned truck at a busy city intersection on Wednesday.
The incident occurred at the junction of Mandume ya Ndemufayo Road and the B1 Western Bypass, where a truck transporting loose gravel collided with a sedan. The impact caused the truck to topple onto the smaller vehicle, trapping its occupants.
Police confirmed that the victims were an adult man, an adult woman, and a young female toddler, all of whom died on the spot. Emergency personnel used the jaws of life to recover the bodies from the wreckage.
Both the truck driver and the sedan driver survived the crash. They were freed from their vehicles and transported to hospital for treatment.
Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the accident are ongoing.
