Fatal Head-On Crash on Kalkfeld–Otjiwarongo Road claim lives of two truck drivers

Police in the Otjozondjupa Region have launched an investigation into a deadly road accident that claimed the lives of two truck drivers early this morning. The collision occurred approximately 20 kilometres from Kalkfeld on the route toward Otjiwarongo.

According to NamPol’s regional spokesperson, Senior Inspector Maureen Mbeha, both men who died were the drivers of the trucks involved in the head-on crash. Emergency responders at the scene confirmed that two passengers traveling in the trucks sustained moderate injuries.

The injured occupants were stabilised by paramedics and transported to Otjiwarongo Intermediate Hospital for further medical care. The exact cause of the crash remains under investigation as police continue to gather evidence.
