Two Dead, Four Injured in Rovos Rail Train Derailment Near Keetmanshoop

Two passengers have died following a train derailment on the Seeheim Holoog railway line near Keetmanshoop in the ǁKharas Region.
Police Chief Inspector Billy Kotungondo confirmed that the incident involved a Rovos Rail luxury train travelling through southern Namibia. The derailment occurred between Seeheim and Holoog, a route commonly used by tourist trains.
Four other passengers were injured in the accident and were transported to Keetmanshoop State Hospital for medical treatment. The severity of their injuries has not yet been made public.
The train was carrying 45 tourists and 36 staff members at the time of the derailment. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
