Two killed as NDF vehicle collides with Amarok near Oshakati

Two passengers lost their lives following a head-on collision between a Volkswagen Amarok and a Namibian Defence Force (NDF) vehicle near Oshakati on Tuesday morning.

The two deceased men were travelling in the Amarok and were pronounced dead after the crash, while the driver of the vehicle survived without injuries.

According to the Oshana Police, the NDF vehicle was travelling from the Oshakati direction when the collision occurred. The driver of the military vehicle sustained serious injuries, including fractures to both legs, and was taken for medical treatment.

Police investigations into the cause of the accident are ongoing.
