Southern Stream First Division Playoffs Fixtures Omit Omaheke Representative
No representative from the Omaheke Second Division Football League will participate in the Southern Stream First Division Promotion Playoffs, scheduled for 25–26 July.
The development follows controversy surrounding alleged match-fixing during the final stages of the league season, involving matches played by Omaheke SC and Gobabis SC, which produced unusual results and prompted an investigation.
Although the league’s Executive Committee (EXCo) has not officially announced the outcome of the investigation or confirmed whether it is still ongoing, the released playoff fixtures do not include a representative from the Omaheke Second Division Football League.
According to the final league standings, Omaheke SC finished as champions and would have qualified to represent the league in the promotion playoffs.
