Rodri, Simón and Cubarsí scoop top World Cup awards

Spain’s impressive 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign has been recognised with three of the tournament’s biggest individual awards.
Midfielder Rodri was named Player of the Tournament after playing a key role in Spain’s success with a string of influential performances throughout the competition.
Goalkeeper Unai Simón walked away with the Golden Glove Award, following a series of outstanding displays that saw him make crucial saves during the tournament.
Teenage defender Pau Cubarsí was crowned Young Player of the Tournament, rewarding his mature performances and consistency despite competing in his first FIFA World Cup.
The three awards capped a memorable tournament for Spain, highlighting the team’s quality across the pitch and the individual contributions that helped drive their World Cup campaign.
