Angolan Teen Arrested in Omusati Over Alleged Abduction and Rape of Schoolgirl

An 18-year-old Angolan national has been taken into police custody in the Omusati Region following allegations that he abducted and raped a 15-year-old schoolgirl on Tuesday.
According to the police, the suspect intercepted the victim while she was returning home from school.
He allegedly brandished a knife, threatened the teenager, and forced her to accompany him to his residence in Ontanda village, located within the Tsandi Constituency.
The sexual assault reportedly took place inside the suspect’s room later that evening.
The crime was uncovered after an adult female resident from nearby Omugulugombashe village reported the incident to the authorities, triggering a swift police response.
The suspect remains detained and is expected to make his initial appearance in the Okahao Magistrate’s Court shortly to face formal charges of abduction and rape.
Police investigations into the matter are ongoing.
