Onandjokwe Medical Doctor Dennis Noa, 31, told the Ondangwa Magistrate’s Court that the complainant had asked him to buy a car worth about N$70,000 or alternatively provide N$35,000 for a taxi business. According to Namibia Sun report.

Noa made the claim on Wednesday during the continuation of his bail application before Magistrate Shantell-Antoinette Wanga-Harris.

According to Noa, the complainant, a taxi driver, said the business could generate about N$5,000 per month and proposed repaying the N$35,000 over two years.

Noa said he rejected the proposal, after which he alleged that the complainant threatened to open a rape case against him and seek money from the government.

He further told the court that he and the complainant communicated daily from 7 May 2026 until 18 July 2026 and had engaged in sexual activity several times.

Noa said the complainant also spent two nights at his residence over the weekend of 28 May.

He alleged that he had spent about N$1,240 on the complainant, who he claimed also took money from his wallet, ate his food and continued asking him for financial assistance.

Noa further alleged that in the early hours of 18 May, the complainant punched his window, injured his wrist and left with his cellphone.

The doctor is facing one count of sexual assault allegedly committed at his residence at Onandjokwe Hospital.

The bail application continues tomorrow.
