Married Woman Arrested After Man She Allegedly Had an Affair With Died During Sex
A married woman has been arrested in Abuja in Nigeria after a man she allegedly had an affair with died while the two were together at a guest house, according to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command, report by several Nigerian Media.
The woman, identified as Mrs Rukayat Muhammed from Garki Area 2, was arrested following an investigation into the discovery of a man’s body under Katampe Bridge in the Kubwa area of Abuja on August 26, 2026.
FCT Commissioner of Police Ahmed Muhammed Sanusi disclosed the development while parading Muhammed and other suspects arrested by the command.
According to the police, investigators traced the deceased to Good Samaritan Guest House on 2nd Avenue, Gwarimpa, where he had reportedly lodged with Muhammed.
Police said the man died suddenly while the two were engaged in sexual activity. Muhammed allegedly discovered that he had died, took his mobile phone and left the guest house without notifying the management.
The man’s body was later discovered by guest house staff, who police allege failed to immediately report the matter to authorities.
Instead, two employees, identified as Ibrahim Omeiza and Kefat Bitrus, allegedly removed the body from the guest house and transported it to the Katampe Bridge area, where it was dumped.
The police said their investigation into the body found under the bridge eventually led them to the Gwarimpa guest house and Muhammed.
“Investigation into the lifeless body of a man found under the Katampe bridge on 26 August 2026 has revealed that the deceased had lodged at a guest house in Gwarimpa with a married woman identified as Mrs Rukayat Muhammed of Garki Area 2,” Commissioner Sanusi said.
Further investigation allegedly established that Muhammed and the deceased were involved in a romantic relationship. Police also said the deceased’s contact was saved on Muhammed’s phone under the name “Safiyat.”
The investigation is continuing as police work to establish the full circumstances surrounding the man’s death and how his body was moved from the guest house to the bridge.
