39-Year-Old Man Found Dead Inside Locked Home in Hochland Park
A 39-year-old Namibian man was found dead inside his rented home in Hochland Park, Windhoek, after his employee became concerned when he could not reach him by phone.
The incident was reported on 26 September 2026 at about 10:53 at a residence in Riethaan Street, according to the police weekend crime bulletin.
Police reported that the employee went to the man’s home after his repeated attempts to contact him were unsuccessful. Upon arrival, he found the house locked and sought assistance from a caretaker, who opened the residence.
The man’s body was subsequently discovered inside the house with an open wound on his face. Blood was reportedly found on the floor, bed and in the bathroom.
Alcohol and medication were also found at the scene, although their relevance to the man’s death has not been established.
His next of kin have been notified, while police investigations are continuing to determine the circumstances and cause of death.
